     God Does Love You!

How can you know for sure?

Will you take a few minutes to read this message, so I can explain what the Bible teaches about God's love?

The Bible tells us that "God is love." This is His character and nature. Because He is love, He desires to reach out and communicate this love and establish a personal relationship with you.

Be assured that His love for you is more than just words in some book that say "I love you." He has proven His love for you by demonstrating it before the eyes of all men.

God sent His Son to earth two thousand years ago to show mankind, once and for all, that He does really love them. He sent Jesus to share the message of the Father's desire to love, forgive, and restore all men to Himself. But there is a problem. All men are separated from God because of their sin, but Jesus came to fix this and make a way back for any who would respond to Him. By His death on the cross. For you see, death is the penalty for sin. But because God loves you, He let His Son take the penalty for your sin. The death of Jesus on the cross was God saying to you, " I love you. I want you. I don't want to condemn you, but to forgive you!"

It is God's love that longs to forgive you and set you free from your guilt and the sin that separates you from really experiencing His love. Don't settle for the many substitutes the world has to offer. His love is the only thing that can satisfy you. Have you ever thought something was missing in your life? Have you ever thought there must be something more to life? There is. It's receiving His love!

We've all searched for that something we knew was missing. We didn't know what it was, but we knew we weren't satisfied. We have tried filling that emptiness with the things the world has to offer, but none of them ever really satisfied. You can try alcohol, drugs, money, or material things, but real satisfaction and peace of mind won't be found there. You must see that what's missing is just a love relationship with your heavenly Father.

The only thing that keeps you from experiencing this love relationship is your choice to disobey and live independent of Him. Only you can choose to trust, obey, and surrender to Him. If you want a relationship with Him, you must ask Him to come in to your life.

Please, don't turn His love away. Give Him a real chance to reveal His love to you. He's trying to get His message to you right now. God is saying "I Love You! I died for you! Open your heart to me, and let me love you!" God is reaching out to you right now through this message. Will you listen to His voice?

Are you willing today to give Jesus the opportunity to love you? Will you choose to ask His forgiveness right now? Are you willing to turn completely from your sinful and independent lifestyle? If you are, pray this prayer and let God's love touch you and fill you today!

"Dear Father, I know I have sinned. I believe Jesus died for me. Forgive me right now. I choose to turn from my rebellion against You. Jesus, please come into my heart and take over my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me to serve You. In Jesus' name I pray."
